Summary

From New York Times bestselling author Ruth Cardello comes another hot Corisi romance about a bet, a love story, and the secrets that ruin relationships。

When billionaire and tech start-up capitalist Gian Romano strikes a bet with his niece Judy—the daughter of Dominic Corisi—to find even more of the Corisi family, his search leads him to the Boston area。 But when he pops into a store, the woman who runs it becomes an instant distraction from his mission。 Teagan is beautiful, strong, and too smart not to see through him。

What started as a friendly family bet quickly becomes complicated when sparks fly between Gian and Teagan。 Nothing is as simple as it appears, and together they discover the past still has the power to hurt the ones they both love。 Teagan won’t settle for less than the truth from Gian, but when it comes to her own secret aspirations, she holds back。 If they learn to trust each other, they just might discover that some secrets are better when shared。

They’ll have to trust each other completely, or else their love, along with Gian’s lead on Judy, will be doomed。

I have mixed opinions on this book。 I requested it because I loved The Wild One in the Corisis series。 Before I go too far into this, note this isn't really one of those series where you can't only read one and not have a problem。 I was trying to remember who everyone was most of the book and why there were so many missing siblings and what the dad did that i feel like it took away from the story。 It was also a little too perfect and a little too I'm in love at first sight。 Maybe it was just a l I have mixed opinions on this book。 I requested it because I loved The Wild One in the Corisis series。 Before I go too far into this, note this isn't really one of those series where you can't only read one and not have a problem。 I was trying to remember who everyone was most of the book and why there were so many missing siblings and what the dad did that i feel like it took away from the story。 It was also a little too perfect and a little too I'm in love at first sight。 Maybe it was just a little too polished。 I don't know。 I did enjoy the love story between Gian and Teagan。 Again I didn't enjoy the I've known you for 24 hours and I already know I love you, but I enjoyed it as it got closer to the end。 3。5 stars overall。 Thanks Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review。 。。。more

I'm on the fence about this book, so instead of getting too deep into the storyline, I'll break this review down to plus and minuses。 ➕ Two really smart characters, in which that intelligence can be a hindrance and often misunderstood➕ Gian and Teague are really kind hearted and fiercely loyal to those important in their lives➕ Strong moral compasses➕ Gian and Teague truly help each other become better people and step outside their individual comfort zones➕ Strong family relations。 Part of the b I'm on the fence about this book, so instead of getting too deep into the storyline, I'll break this review down to plus and minuses。 ➕ Two really smart characters, in which that intelligence can be a hindrance and often misunderstood➕ Gian and Teague are really kind hearted and fiercely loyal to those important in their lives➕ Strong moral compasses➕ Gian and Teague truly help each other become better people and step outside their individual comfort zones➕ Strong family relations。 Part of the best scenes in the book。➕ Chemistry is totally believable and hot!➖ A huge backstory to sift through。 I guess a lot of these characters have been introduced in previous books。 Since this was my first dip into the Corisi world, it took me awhile to figure out who's who。 Still not sure if I'm 100%。➖ Slow start。 Took me a few chapters to warm to this story➖ Without giving anything away, I was a little disappointed with parts of the ending。 It's an HEA, but one element seemed to go against their values。 Overall, I'd say the book is good, well thought out and researched, but some of the details were a bit overwhelming for me。I received an advanced copy through NetGalley and Wildfire Marketing Solutions。 I am leaving this review voluntarily。 。。。more

It has been a long time since I have been in the book world of Dominic Corisi and it was nice to be back。 This book is about Dominic’s half brother Gian。Gian is the brother of Dominic through their mother。 Gian and his niece who are competitive and enjoy challenging each other decide to try and find other siblings/half siblings of Dominics as they are sure more exist。Gian is the first one to find Riley who he believes along with her twin brother are half siblings of Dominic’s。 Riley works for Te It has been a long time since I have been in the book world of Dominic Corisi and it was nice to be back。 This book is about Dominic’s half brother Gian。Gian is the brother of Dominic through their mother。 Gian and his niece who are competitive and enjoy challenging each other decide to try and find other siblings/half siblings of Dominics as they are sure more exist。Gian is the first one to find Riley who he believes along with her twin brother are half siblings of Dominic’s。 Riley works for Teagan in a T-shirt print shop and the moment Gian sets his sights on her it is insta love。 There relationship is a bit rocky at first with Teagan firstly believing Gian is a bit of a player and has his sights set on both her and Riley, she is suspicious of the Romano/Corisi motivations as she is hiding an AI project that many would like to get their hands on and also she is unsure because Riley and Kal’s mother don’t want them to know about their father and makes Teagan promise to stay away from the dangerous family。That being said when Gian turns up at Teagan’s house they are both very quick to shed their clothes which becomes a recurring theme and talk quickly progresses to kids and the future。 The only things standing in the way are the secrets about Riley’s family and her project。I enjoyed the story however I felt the concerns were a bit too quickly overcome and I would have liked to see a bit more relationship building before everything was rosey in the garden。 #NetGalley #HeSaidAlways 。。。more

This is another spin-off of previous series by Ms。 Cardello and I must say, if it's been awhile since you read the other series as it's been for me, you may become a bit confused and overwhelmed by all the characters。 Teagan and Gian have chemistry in spades but there were so many side stories and so many secondary characters that I kind of lost the "romance" I was looking for in the storyline。 It was a good read, but not an incredible read for me。 Just my opinion so don't let it keep you from g This is another spin-off of previous series by Ms。 Cardello and I must say, if it's been awhile since you read the other series as it's been for me, you may become a bit confused and overwhelmed by all the characters。 Teagan and Gian have chemistry in spades but there were so many side stories and so many secondary characters that I kind of lost the "romance" I was looking for in the storyline。 It was a good read, but not an incredible read for me。 Just my opinion so don't let it keep you from giving it a shot because I've enjoyed Ms。 Cardello's writing in the past。 I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley。 。。。more

It’s sometimes very daunting coming into a series without knowing any of the other characters or connections beforehand。 But strangely, even with all the references to other characters and storylines, He Said Always didn’t completely confuse me。 I credit that to Ruth Cardello’s style of storytelling。 There’s a lot of repetition throughout the book, reminding you of who each character is。 While that can seem like too much, it’s also good to just have that information on hand as you go through the It’s sometimes very daunting coming into a series without knowing any of the other characters or connections beforehand。 But strangely, even with all the references to other characters and storylines, He Said Always didn’t completely confuse me。 I credit that to Ruth Cardello’s style of storytelling。 There’s a lot of repetition throughout the book, reminding you of who each character is。 While that can seem like too much, it’s also good to just have that information on hand as you go through the story。 And it’s also great because half the characters in this book have connections to other characters and there are quite a few, so it’s good to not lose complete track of everyone that’s in the story。I wasn’t completely sold on the relationship at the start, it felt a little too convenient and rushed for me。 They met, they were drawn to each other and then pieces started falling into place together。 I didn’t believe it and I didn’t feel the romance there。 It did take me some time to really wrap my head around Gian and Teagan, but I have to say that once I was able to really just accept these two characters, I did love how things progressed for them。 Gian’s the one with all the family connections and drama, while Teagan lives a quiet and simple life。 I really liked what we got to see with these two characters individually and the lives they lead。 Their meet-cute was a fun and interesting one too。I think part of the problem for me was that it was insta-lust and these two just fell deep into each other really fast。 Especially with Teagan not knowing or entirely trusting Gian。 I found that a little hard to stomach at first。 Also, Gian’s got all these secrets and a life that he’s still coming to terms with and Teagan was just willingly letting him into her life and agreeing to do things with and for him that seemed a little out of character at first。 Sure, I eventually started to feel that connection between them, but it did take me a little while。He Always Said might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it was definitely an interesting change from the stuff I was reading。 I enjoyed watching the couple fall in love, even if it happened really fast, I enjoyed the other relationships and the suspense aspect of it all。 There was a lot I enjoyed, and quite a bit that I didn’t。 But it’s a great introduction to Ruth Cardello and her books, which is sometimes what I enjoy most about reading advance copies。Thanks to NetGalley, Montlake and Ruth Cardello for an ARC in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

Teagan and Gian have such a fabulous love story!I loved this book so much! Yeah, the background of this particular story is pretty difficult to explain without going into too much detail。 I don't think it's necessary to read all the other stories in the series but I think you'll get more richness from it if you do。That said, Gian and Teagan were a little nebulous as characters for me。 I didn't think there was a real "point" to them。 The story kind of just flowed but without a clear direction or point, besides setting up that there is yet another group that can potentially be folded into the Corisi clan。 I liked both Gian and Teagan as characters but their romance took a back seat to the set up, in my opinion, which left it kind of underwhelming。 I still enjoyed the read, having had read all the books in the prior series。 I would give this book a 3。5 to 4 stars, depending on familiarity with the story line from prior books。 Thanks to NetGalley for the early read。 。。。more

"He Said Always" is a great read。 The steamy romance and the overcoming of trust issues blend together to create a heartwarming story。I have read all the series Ms Cardello has written about the Corisi and Romano families。 I look forward to seeing where the story goes from here。 "He Said Always" is a great read。 The steamy romance and the overcoming of trust issues blend together to create a heartwarming story。I have read all the series Ms Cardello has written about the Corisi and Romano families。 I look forward to seeing where the story goes from here。 。。。more

The thrill of the chase is that the heart takes the fall。 He Said Always is a reminder of what makes Cardello great。 With characters that are always evolving, emotions deep enough to swim in and unpredictable twists that will keep you thoroughly invested, it's only a matter of time before you call in love。 Gian Romano finally gets a chance to shine。 However, in my opinion it's two feisty women that steal his thunder。 Am so looking forward to getting to know more about the ever growing Corisi cla The thrill of the chase is that the heart takes the fall。 He Said Always is a reminder of what makes Cardello great。 With characters that are always evolving, emotions deep enough to swim in and unpredictable twists that will keep you thoroughly invested, it's only a matter of time before you call in love。 Gian Romano finally gets a chance to shine。 However, in my opinion it's two feisty women that steal his thunder。 Am so looking forward to getting to know more about the ever growing Corisi clan。 。。。more

I have been wanting Gian’s books since I read his brothers’ books, and his story with Teagan was worth the wait! I just love this world, and these two are a wonderful edition to it。 Just a super great book!

Amazing read! This is the kickoff of a new series, the Lost Corisis, and while it's not necessary to have read the series- The Corisis Billionaires, it is very helpful to understanding the love, family and nuances in this book。 I loved Dominic Corisis and for Ruth Cardello to focus on Dominic and Judy in the Corisis Billionaires was awesome, now with Gian getting the first book of the Lost Corisis is amazing!I love this gang of people!
